Latino Classics
"Latino Classics" is the title of a concert presented by the
Classic Open Air am Gendarmenmarkt festival on July 7, 2002.
This concert brought together classic tango works by
Astor
Piazzolla with popular modern songs in samba/mambo style. Most of
the pieces were newly arranged for orchestra, and a number of
specialists were brought together to collaborate with the
Filmorchestra, for example,
Lothar Hensel (bandoneon),
Orsino Wilde (guitar),
Eduardo Villegas (voice) and ten
solo dancers.
